Prof. Kaserer in an interview with Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung
In the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Prof. Dr. Christoph Kaserer, Academic Director Customized and Open Programs at Executive Education Center and owner of TUM chair of Financial Management and Capital Markets, was interviewed on hedge funds. Prof. Kaserer talked about hedge funds assets and explained if and which hedge fund is best for which type of investor.
With regards to the question which factors point in favor of an investment in hedge funds, Prof. Kaserer answered that one needs to distinguish between private and institutional investors and provided a number of explanations in terms of that kind of investment and its development, especially on German capital markets.
Conclusively, the TUM professor stated hedge funds as useful constructs which offer the opportunity to profit of market failures in the short-run, particularly for institutional investors.
