Certificate Program “Building Information Modeling (BIM) Professional” Completes First Round

Our new Certificate Program “Building Information Modeling (BIM) Professional” has successfully completed its first round and participants have received their certificates as BIM Professionals.
The second and final module of the program’s first iteration from 03 – 07 July focused on all practical aspects of the Building Information Modeling (BIM) method: Participants learned about BIM in industrial workflows, cooperative project data management, BIM in financial management, lean construction as well as infrastructure planning.
Supplementing the curriculum, our group visited a variety of buildings that have been planned and constructed using BIM methodology, including a restaurant based on parametric design as well as a visit to the Digital Design Lab. For their certification, participants completed a written test on their final day and presented their case examples in front of the group. We are happy to report that all participants have successfully completed the exam and received their BIM Professional certificates.
The course curriculum for the digital planning, construction, and operation of buildings was developed in close cooperation with TUM’s Leonhard Obermeyer Center. Additional program partners include HOCHTIEF Vicon, the RUB Academy as well as the Bavarian Architectural Association.
Following the successful premiere, the second round of the Certificate Program “Building Information Modeling (BIM) Professional” will start its second round. The new offering will be divided into three modules, taking place from 12-14 October, 30 November – 2 Dezember 2017 and 31 January and 03 February 2018.
