Christina Hering – German champion studying at TUM School of Management

The 24-year-old Christina Hering from Munich has been at the top of the German Athletics Championship since 2014 and has won the national title five times in the double stadium round – a dominance with rarity value. Even after many years she emphasizes: “Passion continues to be there”.

Meanwhile, she manages double workload. The sportswoman is currently studying Management at the Technical University of Munich and wants to accomplish her Master’s degree next year. Next to studying, she is aiming for what may be the last big highlight of her career. “Of course, I want to be at the Olympic Games in Tokyo,” says Christina Hering, who will turn 25 in October.

What happens after 2020 is still uncertain. Her dream is to work in the management of a sports company. A final sporting goal could also be the European Championships 2022. Munich, her hometown, is a hot candidate to host the event and the champion believes: “It would be a great motivation once again”.
