Class of 2019 Prepares Final Pitches of Individual Projects in September

Our Class of 2020 of the Executive MBA in Innovation & Business Creation is also working intensely towards a major milestone: The date for the final pitches of their individual projects will arrive in September, leaving only two more on-site weekends before the master’s thesis will also enter its final stages.

The group already acquired fundamental business skills on the targeted development of innovation in their organization from 10 – 13 May during a course weekend including the module “Innovation Management”. In his lecture, Prof. Dr. Frank-Martin Belz outlined the role of sustainability as a potential source of innovation, followed by a current overview of the state of digital transformation by Helmut Krcmar, TUM Chair for Information Systems.

The session hosted by Prof. Dr. Christoph Ann and Dr. Tobias Wuttke posed the question: “What can IP do for you as an innovator?” In support of their individual projects, participants received strategic insights on venture financing in a session by Philipp Belter.

Another highlight of the weekend included the successful networking event bringing together participants in the Executive MBA and Executive MBA in Innovation & Business Creation at the Vorhoelzer Forum on 12 May. Aside from opportunities to meet and network, the event featured a presentation on “How Design Thinking and Satellite Based Service Innovations transform Global Agriculture” by Dr. Sören Winkelmann, Brand Manager Corporate Marketing Affairs, KWS SAAT SE.
