Heilbronn is now a university city

At the entrance to Heilbronn you can now read “University City”. On February 1, Mayor Harry Mergel ceremoniously unveiled the first sign on Jägerhausstraße. The decisive factor was the “uniqueness of the Bildungscampus”, according to a statement by the city.

With the TUM School of Management, the Technical University of Munich has opened a branch in 2018. The focus is on digital technologies, entrepreneurship and family businesses. The curriculum is largely tailored to the needs of the business location Heilbronn-Franken.

Heilbronn is thus the fifth Baden-Württemberg city with this official designation, after Tübingen, Mannheim, Constance and Ulm.
