Prof. Charles Eesley appointed TUM-IAS visiting fellow

Professor Charles Eesley, PhD, has been nominated as “TUM-IAS Visiting Fellow” and has been invited to join the Institute for Advanced Study by Prof. Dr. rer. pol. Prof. h.c. Dr. h.c.Ralf Reichwald and Prof. Dr.  Holger PatzeltTUM-IAS awards the title to short-term visitors from outside of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) who have a great international reputation as scientists or engineers and who have the intention of engaging in an effective collaboration with researchers at the Institute.

Professor Eesley is Associate Professor of Management Science and Engineering and W.M. Keck Foundation Faculty Scholar in the Department of Management Science and Engineering at Stanford University. His research focus is on the role of the institutional and university environment in high-growth, technology entrepreneurship. Eesley is also recipient of TUM’s Research Excellence Award, given out in 2018.

TUM-IAS awards the Visiting Fellowship on the basis of a nomination by a leading scientist or researcher from the TUM-IAS community and provides not only a prestigious title, but also accommodation and travel expenses for the invitee which is invited to visit TUM for one to two weeks, possibly extending this duration if requested.
