Student from TUM School of Management wins BNP Paribas-FGU Scholarship

The BNP Paribas-FGU Scholarship has been won by a student from TUM School of Management, Raphaël Sahakian. The Scholarship, which was presented at the Excellence Award Ceremony of the Franco-German University (FGU) on January 24, 2019, recognizes talented young people who have achieved outstanding results in one of the German-French study programs at FGU.

The Excellence Award Ceremony took place at the French Embassy in Berlin. The Scholarship, funded by the Franco-German University (FGU) and the major French bank BNP Paribas is worth EUR 3,000. In addition, a total of 11 Excellence Awards were made this year, each worth EUR 1,500, plus three dissertation prizes of EUR 4,500. The prizes are financed by leading companies from various industries.

Every year more than 1,500 students graduate with Double Diplomas financed by the FGU. They speak at least two foreign languages, have completed several periods of study abroad and have strong intercultural skills.

Among those attending the ceremony were Professor David Capitant, President of the FGU, and Mr. Oliver Voigt of BNP Paribas Germany. The Scholarship was won by Raphaël Sahakian, who is currently studying Management & Technology (TUM-BWL) as part of an FGU-funded partnership between HEC Paris and TUM School of Management.
