TUM spin-off qualifies for TechBoost start-up program of Deutsche Telekom
The TUM sponsored start-up blik, co-founded by the two TUM School of Management graduates Philip Eller and Bastian Burger as well as TUM graduate Victoria Hauzeneder ( BA Electrical and Computer Engineering), has successfully managed to qualify for the TechBoost start-up program of Deutsche Telekom.
The start-up program grants the three successful founders and their innovative business idea a €100,000 credit for scalable IT Sources and the Open Telekom Cloud as well as further support via discounts on mobile phones and the usage of landlines and internet connections.
Additionally to having graduated from TUM, Steger and Hauzeneder also hold an Honours Degree in Technology Management from the Center for Digital Technology and Management (CDTM).
The CDTM is a is a joint institution of the two universities in Munich, the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU) and the Technische Universität München (TUM) that offers the interdisciplinary add-on study program „Technology Management“, which is part of the Elite Network of Bavaria. Students from various study backgrounds with creative ideas, great motivation and an entrepreneurial mindset are offered the tools to put their ideas into practice.
Blik itself is a fast growing start-up in the field of Connected Logistics whose main focus lies in the field of real-time tracking of goods in warehouses via a combination of hardware and software algorithms. Besides having qualified for the TechBoost start-up program, blik is also currently part of the TechFounders Accelerator Program offered by UnternehmerTUM, which aims to get new start-ups ready for future investors within the time frame of 20 weeks by, inter alia, providing an initial funding of €25,000 and intense coaching and mentoring.
